- CHELSEA POTTENGER, EQ MINDS FOUNDER + DIRECTOR

Meet Chelsea

Founder and Director of EQ MINDS, Chelsea Pottenger is a psychology postgraduate, accredited Mindfulness & Meditation coach, Mental Health Ambassador for The Gidget Foundation Australia and a woman on a mission.

Chelsea is on a mission to reset the corporate agenda, asking businesses to prioritise their employees mental health first.

This mission is grounded and inspired by her own experience. Chelsea experienced severe Post Natal Depression (PND) following the birth of her daughter six years ago. In her journey to recovery, she retrained and adopted a new way of living, integrating a new set of tools into her life to manage and optimise her mental health. Chelsea is determined to show corporate businesses how they can support their employees to care for their mental health, to nurture, sustain and optimise their wellbeing in and outside of the office.

Chelsea’s first book, The Mindful High Performer combines everything she has learned to create a toolkit to help strengthen your mental and physical health.

Chelsea Pottenger works with many big corporate and small independent businesses everyday to educate and empower action.

- JAY POTTENGER, GENERAL MANAGER AND SPEAKER OF EQ MINDS

Meet Jay

General Manager and Speaker of EQ MINDS, Jay Pottenger is a postgraduate student in Mental Health and Neuroscience, an accredited Mindfulness & Meditation coach.  He is passionate about creating sustainable, productive habits by prioritising mental health.

Jay’s interest in uncovering what drives long term performance started young. He represented Australia in the Australian School Boys basketball team before playing semi-professionally, while getting his degree, a Bachelor of Commerce - Finance and Economics from the University of Wollongong.

In 2013, Jay suffered a severe back injury that landed him in the emergency room at St Vincent’s hospital. Physically, he was injured with two herniated discs but it was the mental setback that would prove to be his biggest challenge. So, Jay rewired his mindset for optimal self-efficacy to rehabilitate his mind, alongside his body.

Now, Jay works with high profile clients like IAG, Estee Lauder, Class Limited and Western Sydney University to harness their mindset, to strengthen their performance at work and in life.

Book Jay to help guide your team to take care of their wellbeing and optimise their output.
