Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training

By registering for the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training course (“the Course”) delivered by EQ Consulting Co. Pty Ltd trading as EQ Minds, you (“the Participant”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

This Course is delivered by an Accredited MHFA Instructor and is accredited by Mental Health First Aid Australia (www.mhfa.com.au). All intellectual property related to MHFA training content, manuals, and assessments remains the property of MHFA Australia and is used under licence.

1. Course Inclusions

Upon full registration and payment, Participants will receive:

  • Access to the full MHFA training course

  • MHFA Australia-accredited training delivered by a licensed MHFA Instructor

  • Official MHFA Australia Participant Manual and resources

  • Access to post-training accreditation assessment through MHFA Australia (subject to attendance and completion of all training components)

  • Certificate of Accreditation issued by MHFA Australia (upon successful completion of assessment)

2. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required at the time of registration unless a prior written arrangement has been approved.

  • Registrations are not confirmed until payment is received in full.

  • Failed, declined, or delayed payments may result in cancellation of your registration.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • A full refund is available if cancellation is made in writing within 7 days of purchase and no later than 3 days prior to the training date.

  • Cancellation requests must be emailed to [email protected]

  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations after [cut-off date], non-attendance, or change of mind.

  • If the Course is cancelled or rescheduled by EQ Consulting Co. Pty Ltd, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

4. Accreditation

  • This course is accredited by Mental Health First Aid Australia.

  • Successful accreditation is subject to full attendance and completion of all required components, including participation and the completion of the post-course assessment managed by MHFA Australia.

  • EQ Consulting Co. Pty Ltd is not responsible for decisions made by MHFA Australia regarding participant accreditation.

5. Intellectual Property

  • All training materials, content, and assessments are the intellectual property of Mental Health First Aid Australia and are used under licence.

  • Materials are provided for personal use only and may not be copied, shared, reproduced, or adapted without the express written permission of MHFA Australia.

6. Participant Conduct

  • A safe, respectful, and inclusive environment is expected.

  • Participants must behave respectfully toward the facilitator and fellow attendees.

  • Disruptive or inappropriate conduct may result in removal from the Course without refund.

7. Disclaimer

  • This Course is for educational purposes only and is designed to provide skills in mental health first aid. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care or therapy.

  • The course does not provide clinical qualifications or authorisation to diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

  • Outcomes vary based on individual engagement and application.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • EQ Consulting Co. Pty Ltd is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the Course.

  • This includes, but is not limited to, loss of income, data, or business opportunities, or emotional distress.

  • MHFA Australia is not responsible for the delivery, scheduling, or administration of this course, and any claims relating to training delivery must be directed to EQ Consulting Co. Pty Ltd.

9. Privacy

  • Personal information collected during registration will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.

  • Your details may be shared with MHFA Australia solely for accreditation and certification purposes.

  • Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt informal resolution.

  • If unresolved, the matter will be referred to mediation before legal proceedings are commenced.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

  • Any disputes will be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

12. Amendments

  • EQ Consulting Co. Pty Ltd reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions before the Course begins.

  • Material changes will be communicated via email to registered Participants.

By completing your registration, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
